Bukhansan National Park
Bukhansan National Park, one of the world’s rare urban natural parks, was designated as Korea’s 15th national park in 1983. It covers an area of 76.922 square kilometers and is bordered by Uiryeong and divided into the Dobongsan area to the north and Bukhansan area to the south. Bukhansan National Park is comprised of sheer rocky peaks and beautiful valleys that have been eroded and weathered over the years. It is also home to numerous historical and cultural sites, including the 2,000-year-old Bukhansanseong Fortress, as well as more than 100 temples and hermitages, providing a variety of attractions and a place for historical and cultural learning.
